About me. Yippeee!

This isn't as easy as I thought it'd be.. :|

I'll start with introducing my self, Hi! I'm destiny afsa :), a 23 year old from  united kingdom. The idea of blogging came out of pure curiosity, thanks to a few friends :D. I'm still a part time student with a few random hobbies i.e henna art, nail art, cooking and of course shopping (which obviously has to revolve around makeup/fashion)! And like everyone else in the productive 21st century I too am on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube! I have yet to experience twitter.

Soon (as soon as I get the hang of this) I will start posting recipes!, clothes in fashion, makeup and other art products i.e henna cones. And there will be something extreme coming up, which I'll keep quiet about for now :).

Check out my previous post for Top 3 foundations as well as perfecting tips!! http://newandunsure.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/helloo.html

Hello/Hola!/Bonjour/Asalaamalikum..!

Top foundation's and TIPS! I've chosen to start off with my top 3! go to foundations, as I know we all want that flawless look.. :D All ratings/opinions are from personal experience with these items. Best suited to dry/normal skin!! 1 point I want to add about foundations is the importance of application. You have to, have to, HAVE TO master applying foundation immaculately! Now there's different ways that'd suit some of us better than others, (also keeping your skin type in mind). I personally love my stippling brush lol. the one I use is by MAC. Almost every makeup brand does them now :).

If you suffer from dry skin like I do :(, then you'd really have to concentrate on moisturizing your face before hand! Another thing that'd help is to spray your application brush with some kind of sealing/setting spray. For example the fix and plus by MAC. I normally sprits my brush twice with the fix and plus and then apply my foundation with the same brush.. And remember all foundations need time to set and sit into the skin! The foundations I mention below will look as natural as real skin within 30 minutes!

Okay now for the foundations, my personal best is the vitalumiere by Chanel! Ultra light skin perfecting makeup. And it is very much that. It's ever so light yet it covers those odd blemishes and skin discoloration. I love this one, and I've been using it for almost 2 years now. The shade I'm in is number 2 (10 beige), that's the second lightest. It's just awesome, stays put for at least 8/10 hours.. that's enough for me, I don't need to top up through out the day TBH. (SOLD at all main outlets, I got mine from john lewis, £30)

Right so my SECOND favorite has to be the skin base foundation by illamasqua! Another awesome skin perfecting formula. It's light yet build-able  The thing I really like about this foundation is the glow you get from it, it has a dewiness to it, which is much needed for dry skin types. The vitalumiere has more of a matt finish on me, as compared to this foundation. :)  "the ultimate skin realism foundation"
(I'm in the shade SB 07, and this sells at £27! debenhams) to be continued...
